Becoming a Member of the Moor Green Lakes Group

The Benefits

The Bridleway in early SpringYou don't have to be a Member to visit the Reserve; the access paths are public. The main area of the Reserve is restricted access to avoid disturbance to wildlife and the only access is for surveys and conservation and maintenance work. Of course, by joining you contribute to the costs of running and improving the Reserve and get to discover more about what there is to see. The Group currently has over 600 Members.

Members of the Group have access to the viewing hides and receive information about the Reserve and the activities of the Group via two News Letters each year giving information on the latest events, wildlife sightings and topical issues. Members also receive the comprehensive Annual Report which details the results of the numerous wildlife surveys carried out in the previous year. Each February members are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to appoint the Group Committee Members and comment on the Group activities and finances. This is followed by refreshments and a talk on a topical subject.
